Eric Easom
Chairman
Eric Easom has served on IDRI’s Board of Directors since October of 2007. He was appointed Vice Chairman of the Board in 2008 and Chairman of the Board in 2009. Eric is the Program Leader for the Neglected Diseases Initiative at Anacor Pharmaceuticals Inc., overseeing the company's licensing, research and development efforts to advance new therapeutics for the treatment of neglected diseases, animal health, and biodefense programs. He brings 21 years of pharmaceutical and biotech experience from various leadership roles in R&D program and alliance management, business development, marketing, sales, finance, and manufacturing from his time at Eli Lilly and Company, MedImmune, McKesson, and InteKrin Therapeutics. He received an MBA from Indiana University and a BS and Masters of Engineering from the University of Louisville.
