Postdoctoral Scientist

Hillarie Windish is a Postdoctoral Scientist at IDRI working with Dr. Rhea Coler on characterization of preclinical vaccine candidates for tuberculosis. Her particular interests are in understanding the changes in the immune response to tuberculosis that occur following vaccination, and how to protect particularly susceptible populations from tuberculosis using vaccines.

Hillarie received her BSc in Biology from Arcadia University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2003, and her PhD from the laboratory of JoAnne Flynn at the University of Pittsburgh in 2008. Her graduate research focused on the host-pathogen interaction between M. tuberculosis and the mammalian immune system. Hillarie is a postdoctoral member of the American Association of Immunologists.
