Karen Kinch
Vice President, Administration

Karen Kinch has over 20 years of varied administrative and management experience. She graduated summa cum laude from Washington State University in 1982 with a degree in Hotel Restaurant Business Administration. After six years in the restaurant and boating industry, Karen entered the scientific research community in 1988 when she worked at Seattle Biomedical Research Institute as Office and Personnel Manager. She left in 1993 to join Steve Reed at IDRI as Administrator and then went to Corixa Corporation in 1994 where she was Manager of Grants Administration until 2005. Karen has done contract administrative work and grants management for IDRI on a part-time basis since 1994. She became a full-time employee again in January 2006.
