IDRI is currently looking for an experienced and motivated project coordinator with experience in communications to support our scientific teams in the development of drugs and vaccines for infectious diseases.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Support the planning and scheduling of project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
• Represent IDRI and project team at external partner project meetings
• Track project milestones and deliverables and day-to-day operational aspects of projects
• Coordinate the development of progress reports, proposals and presentations
• Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
• Holds regular status meetings with project team
• Keep project team well informed of upcoming milestones, changes and general news
• Review project expenses, report expenditures against budgets, and provide support to finance department on budget management
• Provide support to general IDRI communications activities
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Fully supported postdoctoral positions are available in the Adjuvant Development Program. The successful candidate will be involved in characterizing functionality of immune cells. Previous experience in human immunology or multiparametric flow cytometry is a must. Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.
Qualifications:
• A PhD in a biological discipline and a minimum of 2 years of related laboratory experience
• Experience in microbiology and/or infectious diseases
• Experience and skills in human immunology and/or multiparametric flow cytometry
• Experience working under Biosafety Level 2 or 3 (BL2/BL3) conditions
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office and scientific data/graphics programs
• Must be self-motivated, organized and be able to work within a team

IDRI is currently looking for outstanding senior level research scientists with the demonstrated ability to develop a strong independent research program. Candidates must hold a PhD and have a minimum of 10 years experience including a history of innovative, interactive research in the fields of cellular or mucosal immunology and development of vaccines for infectious diseases, with focus on tuberculosis, malaria, leishmaniasis or HIV. We are particularly interested in Senior Scientist-PI candidates with transferable independent funding. Affiliate academic appointments at the University of Washington are possible, depending on merits and qualifications.
