High Content Analysis

IDRI offers high throughput, high content analysis (HCA) of host and pathogen interactions in state-of-the-art BSL3 labs located in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood.

  • High throughput drug screening of Mycobacterium tuberculosis-infected eukaryotic cells
  • Drug or vaccine formulation cytotoxic effects on eukaryotic cell viability
  • Drug or vaccine formulation effects on eukaryotic cell signaling cascades
  • Assay development – We work with clients to design, develop and validate assays for studying host cell interactions with bacterial, viral and parasitic organisms or vaccine formulations.

  • Fully automated plate handling
  • Magnifications of 4X, 10X, 40X and 60X
  • Image analysis using MetaXpress software
  • Data provided on an external hard drive
Full Automation
  • Plates are prepared using a Perkin Elmer Janus MDT liquid handling system.
  • Infected host cells are added to plates using a ThermoFisher Multidrop Combi.
  • Test plates are loaded into a Molecular Devices ImageXpress Micro High Content Analysis system plate imager using a SCARA robotic arm.
